Steve Smith 
Counselling and CBT in Balham and online

Steve Smith is an experienced and qualified counsellor who has worked for a number of counselling services in London, within the NHS and was Project Leader of a counselling service in south London. He has worked in private practice since 2007. Before training as a counsellor he worked in the media industry for 20 years as a writer and producer. 

Steve holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy from The New School of Psychotherapy London and Counselling, London and has BACP accreditation, which means his work is deemed to have reached a high professional standard by the UK's leading counselling organisation.

He is registered with UKRCP and a member of The Society for Existential Analysis. He has regular supervision of his work with his clients.

I completed the core 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course several years ago and I have followed this up with further training and regular Mindfulness practice.

My first degree was in English at Cambridge University.
